UK BRAND REVIEW: Nomo Chocolate
UPDATE 2024: Please be aware that one of the prodcuts NOMO has now contains CHICKPEAS. The company has expressed that if you are allergic to chickpeas then you shouldn’t eat any of the other chocolate. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to eat this brand, however, if you are not allergic then this brand review still holds true. Enjoy if you can!
I have never met an allergy reactor who doesn’t know what it feels to be left out of situations, events, celebrations and so much more. Most people who are allergic to nuts and dairy find it really hard to eat chocolate, especially if you are allergic to both! Kinnerton was the main chocolate company for nut allergy reactors in the UK whilst I was growing up, as they implement a ‘nut safety promise’.
Kinnerton does use ‘Milk, Soya, Nuts, Peanuts, Eggs & Wheat/Gluten. Detailed protocols are implemented to ensure the risks of cross contamination are minimised but where the risks for a particular allergen cannot be eliminated this will be indicated on the packaging. Whilst we always maintain that there are no GUARANTEES in life, we have spent over £1 million to keep Nuts OUT of our segregated and walled off non nut Factory. This results in 5 of our production lines being able to offer up chocolate products for children and adults that are produced in controlled conditions on machinery that never runs nut products.’

My favourite flavours were Fruit & Crunch and the Hazelnot - I love the something with a crunch! I use the 85g bars for baking, pancakes, porridge and anything else - chocolate goes with anything - even kale!
