ANAPHYLAXIS WEEK: Pizza night with Bubble Girl Kitchen
ANAPHYLAXIS AWARENESS WEEK: DAY FIVE
Friday night is Pizza night, no question. I actually have never made a pizza from scratch before. I have made cauliflower pizza, sweet potato pizza, wrap pizza, pitta bread pizza but not proper pizza. So when Steph aka Bubble Girl Kitchen on instagram, posted a white mushroom pizza from scratch I was elated. It was so refreshing to have a step by step tutorial, which is allergy-friendly.
It has been really hard finding plain flour and yeast. I only found them today in Morrisions’. I understand how some people, in the current climate, will not be able to make this recipe. I did try to make a no yeast pizza but that did not turn out the way I wanted so I will not post the recipe but make sure you make Steph’s pizza dough, it is amazing.
I did not let the dough rise to the specifics of the recipe (because I didn’t read it yesterday). I did what the recipe says up until the point of putting the dough in the fridge… but it tasted amazing and it makes two pizzas. I used wine instead of port with the mushrooms as well.
Steph doesn’t have a blog (she should get one, as her recipes are incredible) so I will post the recipe here, but please follow her on instagram and support her being an anaphylaxis advocate. She has allergies to nuts, sesame and egg and does plant based recipes. Her goal is to make food more inclusive, which is amazing!
