LONDON REVIEW: Shake Shack

LONDON REVIEW: Shake Shack

I have loved shake shack since living in NYC. The “fast food” restaurant is simple but delicious, much better than McD’s.

I have actually not looked at the allergy menu in the recent years. They do not have any loose sesame on any products and they say the only nuts are in the peanut butter shake which is made separate from the burger.

The allergen menu does say that there is a cross-contamination with the bun from sesame and tree nuts which is really disappointing for me (this is the problem when I do more research in to foods that i have been eating for years - happened with Byron burger as well), I guess i will be having a double cheese patty with no bun from now on. I will still love it.

What I liked

  • The burgers are delicious!

  • The staff are lovely

  • The menu is has a lot of variety

  • They have dog treats.

  • Apparently the shakes are amazing!

  • They write down your allergies on the order so the cooks will see.

  • The fries are bomb (crinkle cut!)

  • Reasonable price

What could have been better

  • I can’t eat the buns anymore!

  • I can’t have any of the shakes because of cross contamination

  • The restaurants are always busy

  • You can’t talk to a cook and the servers don’t communicate except on the order receipt
